the grandkids

The little people who make my parents happier. I wonder what my parents feel when they both present at my parents’ home. Aside from breaking the silence at home, these two monsters break everything at home. From my mom’s vase, to tearing the cushions apart, staining my mom’s chaise longue and curtains, transforming the living room to their play area and to squeezing the baby fish in the pond.

When my siblings and I were small, I remember we do get scolding from my parents every time sets of laws were violated and when our habitual manner go overboard and they surpasses my parents maximum perimeter. Let alone the ‘time out’ we get every time our earsplitting screams and crazy giggling hurt my mom’s ear drums. Oh boy, we were all one disorderly and loud-mouthed kids.

But a few years down the road, when these two monsters came into my parents’ lives; and the same scenes were repeated but no expected drama happen. what happened here?

In spite of everything, my sis and I still get the scolding. And our kids still continue doing what they do best. Making a mess and ruin the whole house. Might as well they burn the house down. After all these years, where is justice? *wink*

iman's ride to klcc

It was his 2nd ride on a commuter. He was indeed in high spirits when I told him about the ride the night before. Well, the intention of taking the commuter to klcc was to avoid the crazy traffic, meet daddy after work and have dinner with him.

The gleeful iman hezrin was over the moon but confused when he sees the commuter.

Iman : mama, this not ‘laden’ train. Why not same mama?
Me : because we’re not in London
Iman : that’s why hot mama. ‘laden’ nice. Iman wear jacket.
Me : (ish, perasannya….)

Iman and I followed our ‘big boss’ (darling husband) to office that day when we adjourned to our bird nest after dropping the ‘big boss’ off at his office. Iman and I had breakfast, lunch and tea at our lil home before we pick up the big boss from work. Iman was undeniably contented with a quick dip in the pool. After donkey years, I reunited with an old friend who settled down in the land down under. It has been ages since we last met. All I could remember, I couldn’t even get to attend her wedding and she was away on my wedding day. After a few years apart, we finally reunited with a child on our own. It was indeed a great get-together. Miss ya nan!

weekend + petroscience + us

We were strong-willed to bring him to petroscience in conjunction of his 3rd birthday. The solitary objective was to introduce science to him. His daddy was excited to take his son there as it was the industry he’s in. so off we went for 3hours expedition delving into science.

Amazingly, the tickets were cheap and we granted a further discount being a b** white card member. Imagine paying RM10.20 for a quick science class?? He he he.. even a glass of fresh juice costs more than that!

After leaving petroscience, we proceed to dome for a light snack before calling it a day.

the day our dear son; IMAN HEZRIN turns THREE !

It was the day when our dear beloved son turns three when we were all gathered at my parents’ home in sect 11, SA. It was homemade chicken rice my mama cooked for all of us, birthday cupcake courtesy of my neighbor and MIL’s beef pie were served for everybody at home.

Darling husband and I were certainly the proudest parents that day having survived 3 roller coaster rides raising a very demanding + rowdy yet obedient son of ours. Being the person closest to the birthday boy, I must say I am one proud mama. It was a delight and rewarding having him since day one.

Happy 3rd birthday little one. We love you very much!

of the new me and my first born

Since i was small, I always love documenting every single experience I went through. From every movie tickets to the first two homes I bought. He he he… so just imagine how much stuffs I have, stuffed under my old bunk at my parents’ place. Ha ha ha… but since I met my husband, who I literally think I would be married to him a couple of weeks after we met, I started tossing away the old memories. That’s the typical me. I don’t live in the past. I dashed every single piece of old memories far far away and never look back. I seriously look forward to a brighter future. I forgive and forget easily.

I got engaged to darling husband on 21 apr 2005 and after quitting my job from an Australian university, 3 weeks later, I realized my piles of new sweet memories started mounting and making its way up from my parents’ home to my apartment. Being someone who has a lot of free time in her hand, I started sorting my sweet memories. New movie tickets, new dried roses to maintain and etc. Not to mention, thousand of photographs of us together. Furthermore, I just received a brand new camera on valentine’s day in 2005.

Then, we got married in 5 days events, performed umrah, give birth to a beautiful son and 3 years later, I still stockpiling every single memory of our journeys. I love documenting every single experience, new ventures, new acquisitions, new skills, events, developments and etc.

And now, as a stay at home mom (who has had awful experience with 2 indonesian maids) who is now became maid-less, I treasure my journey and new encounters even more. I no longer rely on the maid to do house chores. I do it all by myself. Penat, don’t mention la. But it was worth every single sweat.

So now, with a husband who prefers eating home cooked food prepared, cooked and served by his wife, I belajar masak. Then, having a son who demands attention 24/7, I provide him all without hesitation. I gave in. But along the way, I received many excellent returns from HIM, my lil nuclear family and my parents. Syukur Alhamdullilah.

So, let’s not let me divert to another chapter, I let all of you view iman’s milestones from the day he was born. I hope I’ll be able to do the same with his adiks, InsyaAllah.

the JOURNEY

The journey is partial tale of my life. Preliminary it begins with the meet up with darling husband who was then a stranger to me. Shortly it was merisik & engagement on 21st April 2005 followed by akad nikah on 2nd December 2005 & our wedding receptions on 3rd & 4th December 2005. Short and sweet, that’s all I could describe in brief.

When we met someone special, everything went in a split second. There was no obstacles, no objections. It was pure love and blessings. Syukur Alhamdullilah.
Our pre-honeymoon was in just nearby. A few days later, we hoped on a plane to madinah & mekah to perform umrah & ziarah. It was our official honeymoon to be precise. Frankly speaking, Darling husband didn’t allocate some money for our over the top honeymoon. I was completely fine with the arrangement as we were focusing more on purchasing our own home that we would settle down at and build a family. Since the refurbishing cost of an old home that we purchased did cost darling husband a bomb, he had to work a lot harder to maintain it. Alhamdullilah, everything we prayed and hoped for whilst performing umrah were answered. Everything sailed as smooth as silk.

We took time to furnish our home. From choosing color for each room, buying furniture to the littlest detail like Cornish and lighting fixtures. Along the way, I conceived. And that’s another good news for darling husband and I. Being a detail and careful person with dollars and cents, darling husband reserved some money for the arrival of our pride and joy. Nothing comes easy but with a little effort, Allah poured rezeki on us.
As a pregger, I had an effortless pregnancy from day 1. There was no morning sickness. I was one energizer bunny who cannot sit still or walk at a slower pace despite of my weight. Talking abt weight, I gained a freaking 30KG! he he he… I blame myself for being so ngada2 and who begs for ice cream and burger ramly daging special every single day before I was put to bed. Padan muka!!! I grown from a size XS to XXXXXXXXXL.

Next, 3 weeks before my actual due date, I delivered a beautiful baby boy with the assistance of epidural. Iman Hezrin is his name. Weighing at birth of 2.96KG and I was 75KG. It was indeed a remarkable experience I ever had in my entire life.
It was indeed a wake up call for both of us, including our families. Iman is our FIRST CHILD, FIRST GRANDSON for both my parents and inlaws and FIRST GREATGRAND SON for darling husband’s grandparents in JB.
In short, iman brought another bag load of responsibility to us and undeniably joy to the family. He completes our lives and certainly brings perfection to our little nuclear family.
