The journey is partial tale of my life. Preliminary it begins with the meet up with darling husband who was then a stranger to me. Shortly it was merisik & engagement on 21st April 2005 followed by akad nikah on 2nd December 2005 & our wedding receptions on 3rd & 4th December 2005. Short and sweet, that’s all I could describe in brief.
When we met someone special, everything went in a split second. There was no obstacles, no objections. It was pure love and blessings. Syukur Alhamdullilah.
Our pre-honeymoon was in just nearby. A few days later, we hoped on a plane to madinah & mekah to perform umrah & ziarah. It was our official honeymoon to be precise. Frankly speaking, Darling husband didn’t allocate some money for our over the top honeymoon. I was completely fine with the arrangement as we were focusing more on purchasing our own home that we would settle down at and build a family. Since the refurbishing cost of an old home that we purchased did cost darling husband a bomb, he had to work a lot harder to maintain it. Alhamdullilah, everything we prayed and hoped for whilst performing umrah were answered. Everything sailed as smooth as silk.
We took time to furnish our home. From choosing color for each room, buying furniture to the littlest detail like Cornish and lighting fixtures. Along the way, I conceived. And that’s another good news for darling husband and I. Being a detail and careful person with dollars and cents, darling husband reserved some money for the arrival of our pride and joy. Nothing comes easy but with a little effort, Allah poured rezeki on us.
As a pregger, I had an effortless pregnancy from day 1. There was no morning sickness. I was one energizer bunny who cannot sit still or walk at a slower pace despite of my weight. Talking abt weight, I gained a freaking 30KG! he he he… I blame myself for being so ngada2 and who begs for ice cream and burger ramly daging special every single day before I was put to bed. Padan muka!!! I grown from a size XS to XXXXXXXXXL.
Next, 3 weeks before my actual due date, I delivered a beautiful baby boy with the assistance of epidural. Iman Hezrin is his name. Weighing at birth of 2.96KG and I was 75KG. It was indeed a remarkable experience I ever had in my entire life.
It was indeed a wake up call for both of us, including our families. Iman is our FIRST CHILD, FIRST GRANDSON for both my parents and inlaws and FIRST GREATGRAND SON for darling husband’s grandparents in JB.
In short, iman brought another bag load of responsibility to us and undeniably joy to the family. He completes our lives and certainly brings perfection to our little nuclear family.

a red fighting fish named MICHAEL JACKSON AWWWW !
|
|
bought iman his 3rd petfish. the first one was named BOB, then DUDE and finally MICHAEL JACKSON AWWW! these names were personally picked by the lil dude himself.
i was surprised when he insisted to name his red fighting fish; michael jackson awww. since my son is musically inclined child and adored michael jackson since his death drama etc, i had no other choice but to agree with the name he picked for his new petfish.
at the shah alam aquarium cashier counter,
mama : so iman, what do you want to call ur fish?
iman : i dont now mama
mama : he's a different kind of fish you know. he's a fighting fish.
iman : i know! i know! MICHAEL JACKSON AWWWW!

creative mama wannabe
|
|
This is what happen when I become gatal… perasan... and gatal & perasan combined.
I needed a cupboard to store extra pebbles from my lawn, darling husband’s car polish and stuffs. Thought of buying a cheap cabinet but I turned to an old and no longer in use cabinet laying dead in the store room at my parents’ house. My mama wanted to toss it away but I was strong-willed to own it. The cabinet is roomy and I can stash the stuffs that needed a ‘home’. So I brought it home, wipe off the dust and put on my Martha Stewart hat.
It was time for creative mama wannabe to show off her talent. Yuck! I know im the worst artist ever lived. I was just perasan and was a total wannabe that day. I got the idea of giving the old cabinet a revamp with a chic new look from browsing through Martha Stewart’s craft book when I was at kinokuniya the other weekend.
So when the spirit and boldness collide, a chic new look emerged. Ha ha ha… darling husband was very supportive when I enlighten him of my upcoming lil project. I even proposed the design and color that I picked. Being a very supportive husband, he was my all time devoted cheerleader. To show his support, he drove me to the shop to get paints, spray coats and etc.
He even called from office to check if my project was completed. So lagila I perasan… he he he…
So that was it. A breath of new look for the old ugly cabinet. I am one contented Martha Stewart wannabe.

I remember the last time darling husband brought me to the cinema. It was almost 4 years ago. I was heavily carrying my son. Gosh! Lamanya….
So after almost 4 years, I decided to take the little dude to the cinema and watch 3D animation movie which I personally think it would be iman’s favourite. So after a few days begging darling husband to take us to the cinema, we finally got the tickets and hit the cinema.
We watched cloudy with a chance of meatballs, yo!
Iman was indeed thrilled with his latest discovery. He was one well-behaved movie go-er that day. Unfortunately the 3D spectacles was too big for him and it didn’t fit his face properly. But other than that, P-E-R-F-E-C-T!
After a couple of hours in the cinema, and looking at the laughter, big smile, greatest satisfaction it brings to the family, darling husband insisted to take us to the cinema in the near future again. I know iman enjoyed his latest discovery and will ensure it will not be his first and the last trip to the cinema this year.

the opening night of 'CUCI' the musical
|
|
date : 23 oct 2009
time : 830pm till late
venue : IB
Darling husband and I were invited to attend the opening night of ‘CUCI’ the musical held at IB. Rudi the musical director for cuci the musical is a dear friend and our business partner for events. After several years being absent from theater scenes as local theater biggest supporter, darling husband and I finally returned, but this time not only to support ‘CUCI’ but a dear friend.
It was indeed a great night out with darling husband reminiscing our dating days. We had to leave iman with inlaws since jazyl fell sick the day before. I knew it would be a rough ride for the lil dude being left alone with his grandparents in subang for a couple of
hours so I fed him dinner before we take off.
As I expected the lil dude refused drinking water & milk even after past midnight. My MIL called us at 1030pm that night and complains that the lil dude nak nangis every time he was offered milk and water. Mmmph, all these while he only receives milk and water from me and his daddy. But when receiving milk and water from his grandmamma that night certainly was an awkward scene for him.

art attack!
|
|
Routine artwork does enhanced iman’s creativities, attention span, helps him focus more on his lil projects, and most importantly it able to make iman sit down and learn.
After a couple of months doing artwork amongst other activities, my art attack sessions does help to improve focus and concentration in my son, in the result of finding this son of mine difficult to stay put and focus.
Not only it helps him to concentrate, it develops sense of responsibility to rearrange his artwork kit and clean after each session. I just hope I will be able to do more activities with him soon.

The day when she had no other choice but to put on the same baju kurung as I did to attend our uncle’s raya open house. Malu ok! My sister and I have a lot of same baju. When I mean a lot, means sangat-sangat banyak, since we were a kid. He he he…
So, when you have a lot of identical baju, and going to the same event, all we need to do is give each other a call. But NO! We didn’t. We assume.
So, this is what happen la when neither one of us knew. Well, I take the blame for not calling her. This baju was my last year’s baju raya and it was my sister’s this year’s baju.

swimming date
|
|
Never ever shower promises to the little dude, that’s what I learned from my own mistakes. He he he… he remembers every single promises I made to him. For instance, he claimed that I take him for a swim the other day. And he demands me to bring him to the pool pronto. Luckily, he’s not one son yg exhibit his tantrums like tergolek-golek on the floor. If he ever does that, I know I owe him a long thin cane. I just cannot stand kids behaving such.
So as promised, I brought him to our bird nest in KL for a swim. Since our plan was kind of impromptu, we didn’t bring jazyl along. All I can think of is iman’s bathing suit, mine, his porridge and milk. I forgot to bring extra diaper. He he he..
But since his in toilet training mode, and he coped pretty well since day 1, I didn’t even need to put on his diaper the whole day. Phew! Lucky me!
So, it was indeed a good mama and son activity. I wish darling husband could join us that day. I know he was busy with work that day and we only get to meet him in the evening in shah alam. Will definitely take the lil dude swimming more often.
